EverLucent Vault uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) in several features. This page explains, in plain language, where AI is used, what it does, what it does not do, and what you are responsible for. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Notice, and Master Disclaimer.
1. You are interacting with AI
When you use a feature that drafts documentation, summarizes references, interprets pasted lab or intake content, generates patient handouts, or produces educational text, you are interacting with a generative AI system. Outputs are produced by software, not by a clinician, attorney, or other licensed professional.
2. Where AI is used in EverLucent Vault
- Documentation drafting and scribe-style summaries from user-entered notes.
- Educational interpreters (hormone, lab, intake, history) that produce reference summaries and rule-based explanations from text you paste in.
- Patient handout and template generation.
- Reference and guideline summarization.
- Compliance-summary and credentialing-helper drafting.
3. Purpose and limits
AI features are an educational and administrative drafting assistant. They are not:
- A clinical decision-support system, diagnostic device, or medical device;
- An electronic health record or HIPAA-covered system;
- A source of medical, legal, tax, or compliance advice;
- Therapy, mental-health treatment, or crisis support;
- An automated decision-making system that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you or any patient.
4. Models and providers
We use third-party large language models from established AI providers. The specific model used for a given feature may change over time as we tune for quality, safety, and cost. AI providers act as our subprocessors and process only the prompt and limited context you submit, solely to generate the requested output. We do not authorize providers to train foundation models on your inputs.
5. Known limitations
AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, internally inconsistent, or fabricated ("hallucinated"). Outputs may reflect biases present in training data. The Service is tuned for general U.S. clinical and administrative contexts and may be wrong for your specific jurisdiction, payer, patient population, or clinical situation.
6. Human review is mandatory
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, correcting, and exercising independent professional judgment over every AI-generated output before relying on it, applying it to any patient, entering it into a medical record, or using it in any clinical, regulatory, billing, or business decision. Every AI-generated output is labeled as such within the Service.
7. Inputs and PHI
You must not enter Protected Health Information (PHI), patient identifiers, or other protected information into AI features. See our Acceptable Use Policy. You represent that you have the legal right to any content you submit.
8. Geographic scope
EverLucent Vault is offered exclusively to licensed healthcare professionals located in the United States and is not designed for or directed at users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions, including for purposes of AI-specific regulations such as the EU AI Act.
9. Right to opt out
Many core EverLucent Vault features (compliance tracking, document storage, license and CME records, business templates) do not require AI. If you do not want to use AI features, simply do not invoke them. If you would like AI features disabled at the account level, contact us at support@everlucentvault.com.
